Click on refresh and you will get a totally different version of the same article. The resulst are astounding. This will definitely have an impact on any article marketer. eBay Download Slap - Are You Affected?

March 25th, 2008 by Ted

On March 24, 2008 | 01:00PM PST/PT Director of Global Feedback Policy at eBay, Brian Burke, announced some devastating news for those of us that sell digital products on eBay. Digital downloads now have to be listed in the classified section, never to bee seen again. Click here for the official announcement

I have to admit, I didn’t even know eBay had a classified section and I am sure many eBay shoppers haven’t seen it either.

This slap in the face has crippled many online marketers who offer their products as digital downloads.  Fortunately there is an alternative to being thrown into the eBay basement.

The Disc Buddy CD/DVD automated delivery system will process your sales and automatically drop ship your digital products on physical CDs or DVDs, thereby complying with eBay and still being able to sell through auctions and buy now sales.

SO it is not the end of the world if you think outside the box. Take a look at The Disc Buddy and see if you can continue your eBay business without missing a beat.

Deadline is March 31, 2008 so I suggest that you hurry!

www.thediscbuddy.com

Worse case scenario, it will take $1.75 off your bottom line. That is what your out of pocket is for the DVD delivery service. The customer pays shipping depending on the service level and their geographic location.

Do giveaway events really work

March 22nd, 2008 by Ted

Every week there seems to be a new giveaway event launching  with promises of thousands of free gifts and the potential to add thousands of people to your list.

SO how true are all these statements?

I have been a contributor in quite a few giveaways and I admit I have my favorites.

The current EasterJV2008 giveaway is in it’s third successful year. In the four days that it has been live, I managed to gain 200 members to my list. Impressive, not really, worthwhile, you bet.

If you joined every giveaway event as a contributor, you could gain 100-200 listmembers per event, times the 20 or 30 events that take place each year, and with very little effort have a list of 2000 - 3000 - 5000 in one year.

For someone with thousands and thousands of list members this may not seem like much but for someone without a list and no way to start one, this is a great way to get off the ground.

My other favorites are the Summer Giveaway, Thanksgiving Giveaway and the 30 days of Christmas.

I will always contribute to those because I know they will draw big numbers so there is good potential.

Now getting away from the list building, you also have a chance to give away a viral product, report, ebook, etc. with links back to your site or products and with giveaway rights, these could wind up on membership sites where your exposure multiplies.

So do giveaway events really work. My answer is YES with very little effort on your part. Just promote it to your list and give a great gift away then sit back and reap the rewards.

Ever thought about offering physical products?

March 8th, 2008 by Ted

OK, most of us selling products or information deliver via digital download. What about the other 75%  that back away from the order page because they want something they can hold in their hand.

SO you think 75% is an overinflated estimate. think about the other 90% of internet shoppers or prospects that are not into IM or even know what it means.  Downloads are foreign to them, unzipping, looking for the right program to read something and then having to print it out so they can enjoy it.

Independent studies have shown that in the IM niche alone, sales could increase as much as 25% by offering an alternate delivery method, whether it is in the form of a CD, DVD or printed soft cover or hardcover book. Having that and holding it in your hands ads instant value to the product.

There are still many surfers out there on dial up. Sell them a 600 meg downloadable video course  and see how many are willing to take the risk of downloading that for 18 hours without losing their connection.

For those prospects outside the IM niche, sales can increase up to 65% because they can relate with a book coming hteir way via snail mail. Yes it is hard to believe in this day and age of high speed connectivity that someone will actually wait for something to be mailed to them for the sheer pleasure of holding it in their hands and readint it, (beliee it or not) AWAY from their computer.

IMers tend to live in front of their computers. The other 90% have a life . . . lol

SO think about offering an alternative method of delivery. There are some great dropshippers with no minimums which means you can sell one book and they will print one book and ship it directly to your customer.  Imagine that. Checkout www.lulu.com and start printing your ebooks for as little as $6+

Here is a great automation script that will let you sell CDs or DVDs of anything you want (as long as you have rights to sell it). It’s called Disc Buddy Delivery System - www.thediscbuddy.com

It integrates into your website and automatically sends the order to Kunaki when the customer pays and drops the money directly into your Paypal, 2 Checkout or Google Checkout account.

As long as you have a positive balance with Kunaki,. they will produce, package and ship to your customer’s door generally within 24 hours.

Adsense Publishers now need a Privacy Policy on their sites!

March 5th, 2008 by Ted

This email is for all www.10-sites-a-month.com customers. This is a public service announcement and no purchase is required.  :)

PLEASE READ SO YOU DO NOT LOSE YOUR ADSENSE ACCOUNT!!!!

Recently, Google has changed their TOS for adsense publishers.  They are now requiring you to have a privacy policy on any website that displays adsense ads.

For XSitePro users, this will be easy to accommodate. Load your website into XSitePRo and go to the OTHER tab and select PRIVACY STATEMENT. Click the box to include the privacy statement link on your site footer and also include it on your sitemap so Google can find it easily.

Save your changes and publish your site.

The privacy policy  autogenerated by XSitePro is sufficient without editing.

Those of you that do not have XSitePro, consult your HTML editor documentation to see if there is a Privacy Page wizard in your program or you will have to manually create one and add a link to it on every page you are displaying adsense ads.

All new sites offered by www.10-sites-a-month after March 1, 2008 will automatically have this privaacy statement included.

Here are the changes straight from Google if you care to verify!

https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms

See Section 1. and reference the last couple sentences.

Here are a few resources for free privacy policies courtesy of Linda Cummings:

1.)  http://www.oecd.org
2.)  http://www.the-dma.org/privacy/creating.shtmlhttp://www.com
3.)  http://www.privacyalliance.org/

No sense paying an attorney! ;)

New sites coming out in a couple days!
To your continued success,

Ted Kopelli
