What’s wrong with beautiful blogging?

February 26th, 2008 by Ted

I have run across alot of blogs and I must say the vast majority of them are yoo-gah-lee!  That’s UGLY with a capital everything - lol.

Anyway, while cruising on the WF today, I ran across a thread that listed a little less than a hundred free blog theme sites so if you need a blog theme you should be able to find one here:

I don’t know about you but I guess I am just old school. Navigation on the left, no right column full of advertising, I like websites the way they were originally designed and I like my blogs that way too.

What’s the big deal about Web 2.0

February 22nd, 2008 by Ted

Web 2.0 - most people  probably don’t know what it is or what it means but to marketers like us, it will be the most important movement of our lives. They may be unaware fo the terminology but they are an active part of it every day.

The Social Networking Revolution is taking the internet by storm.  Everyone thinks MySpace is for kids but in fact, over 60% of MySpace visitors are 25+ years old and 40% are 35+ years old. Nearly 20% of MySPace visitors make over $100,00 per year.

It seems Facebook enjoys similiar trends with nearlky 25% making $100K . they are also gaining in market share by signing up one million new adult members every week!

Some other amazing statistics:

Currently Facebook and MySpace combined receve the same daily traffic as Google.

YouTube is currently getting over a half a billion unique visitors a year.

So how can you capitalize on all this traffic. Surely not by pitching your latest eBook or wonder product. They will shun you like the plague.  You need to befriend all the visitors you can . Become a contributing member with great ideas and useful content that isn’t trying to sell someone something.

You eventually want to become  someone that everyone want to befriend, someone that appeals to the masses and builds a reputation for being the star of MySPace or Facebook and gather all the admiring fans that you can.

That will be your secret to success with Web 2.0

If you would like more information about Web 2.0,  check out this report at:

http://www.top-markets.com/web-20-revealed.html

Due to licensing restrictions, I am not allowed to give it away, but you can grab it for a measly $2.95

 To Your Continued Success,

Ted

Why do it on your own

February 21st, 2008 by Ted

Trying to make it in a competitive field is not an easy task. So many people have visions of striking it rich with an online or offline business  only to fail, overcome with disappointment.

My friend Bonnie Lowe was trying to do it on her own and fortunately discovered the coveted secret to success. It’s called “Networking”.  Networking provides a wealth of information from seasoned veterans and they are more than happy to share their secrets if you get on a personal level with them.

Sending them an email will get you nowhere but siding up to them at an IM convention dinner or participating in a seminar will boost your chances of getting to befriend one of the “goo-roos”

In her best selling book, “Networkaholics Revealed” whe tells the story of her humble beginnings in IM and the success she achieved by getting n on some great information.

It is a good read for anyone struggling to get their online or offline business off the ground or to greater success. Seasoned businesses and new starts will both benefit from the secrets revealed in this great book. Check it out at:

 www.networkaholics-revealed.com

To your continued success,

Ted

(I must give credit to the term “goo-roos”  to Stuart at NetActivated)

Learning from others

February 19th, 2008 by Ted

So many marketers wonder what they should spend their money on and what should they buy to improve their online business.

There is so much information out there for free. All you have to do is force yourself to read between the lines.

Take Frank Kern’s sales page for Mass Controll.  It is still available for viewing here:

www.masscontrolsite.com/mafia.php

 Notice anything different?

Did you find it easy to read…easy to follow?

Now read between the lines. Have you figured it out yet?

OK, if you are still stumpled, stand back from your monitor and gaze at the sales page as a whole instead of trying to read it.

Don’t look at the graphics, scroll to a part where all that you can see is text.

OK, now do you notice the secret to this page?

If you are still stumped, look at all the one sentence paragraphs.

Different approach, huh?

You don’t get buried in the middle of a big long paragraph trying to keep your place as  your read from line to line.

Patrick Pretty also uses this method on his sales pages and I have tested it on manyof mine as well.

Did you notice this post was written in the same style?

 Easy to read, huh?

Try it and see how it works for your conversions.
